Heya! Welcome to Novice Ink., we are a creative writing club in Christiana High School. This club's primary focus is to help our members get better at creative writing through practice exercises, discussions, and so much more. But more than that, we hope to provide a space where we hope you can learn to love writing and literature. We look forward to everyone being able to join us, even if writing isn’t in your fieldhouse, after all we each have a unique way of telling a story. It just takes time, patience, effort, and lots of creativity! By using this site, you agree to our Terms & Conditions.
The Creative Writing Club's first official meeting with its team members.
With the discussion of making this club school-wide, the vice president decided to program the website you see before you. Of course, it has come a long way and definitely had its layout changed numerous times for more of a professional look.
After a little more than a week of continuous work on the website, a temporary design and layout of the site had been released for the club members to view.
Now that the club was getting somewhere, it was time for the members to discuss what the club name should be. Eventually, the name, "Novice Ink." Had been settled. This was also the month of redesigning and changing the layout for the whole website, making it mobile friendly in the process.
The club is finally set for releasing the website to the public for people to send in their stories for review, and even possibly becomming a member as well. A poster had also been sent out.
The club finally has their first 2021 school year Novice Ink. club magazine issue completed! Originally, the magazine was completed May 21st, 2021, but is now live on the website today! Special thanks to Victoria Nasibi, the club president, for completing it and doing a splendid job!
With the school year coming to a close in a week, Novice Ink.'s final club meeting ends for the 2020-2021 school year. The club meetings will resume again in September but the website will continue to update throughout the summer; the job's not done yet.
After months of long work, and with a high enough budget to maintain the website, Novice Ink.'s programmer, Hairum decides it's time to buy a domain for the club website. Instead of a sub domain like before, it's time to get official with an actual paid domain. After a few purchases, https://noviceinkwritersclub.com/ is now an official website.
Simple! To be able to join the club, you'll need the Zoom link to join our club meetings. To get the Zoom link, contact us by letting us know you're interested and we'll go from there!
Nope! It's all free of charge for a small simple service we hope will benefit you!
We hope you will achieve the ability to improve your writing and storytelling. This club is also a great benefit for getting heard by more experieced writers that hopefully you can learn (more) from!
Our club meetings are every Thursday's weekly from 1:00 PM EST to 2:00 PM EST.
Nope! We encourage everyone to give us a glimpse of the writing potential you have to share to the world! Please be sure to read our guidelines before sending us your story!
At the moment, yes. Because this is a Christiana High School writing club, we can't really allow people who aren't from CHS to join the club. Note: this rule might change.
You must be in 9th-12th grade to join the club.
Most likely not. If you've sent a query through the contact form through the Novice Ink. website, please give us at most 1 week to respond to your question sent in. Chances are, the club members may be busy. If it's urgent, feel free to send a follow-up email after a week.
Whether that would be mobile unfriendliness or whatever the case may be, please be sure to let us know by specifying the issue when writing in the contact form. Title the message as "Website Issue" or something similar so we can address it ASAP. Your feedback is important to us!
The first step would be to read through our story submission guidelines. This ensures your story fits school standards and is appropriate. Next, fill out the permissions form (labeled "Form" on the home page) before beginning the process of submission. This ensures we have your permission on specifics that lead into the process. Next, after doing so, you're ready to upload! Head over to the specific genre your story is, scroll down to the bottom, and you should see a form. Everything else from there is self explanatory!
Novice Ink. is very serious on the respect of its members. If we find you're violating our terms after stating explicit rules, we'll send you a warning email. If you disregard that email, Novice Ink. will reserve the right to disable your account after a certain period. If the negative behavior persists even after your account gets enabled, your account will be deleted and your email will be recorded to further prohibit you from using this site. However, if you find this to be a mistake, please feel free to email Novice Ink.'s programmer, Hairum at hairumq@noviceinkwritersclub.com
Most likely it's because you've disregarded the warning email and persisted on the negative behavior even after your account got enabled. If you find this to be a mistake, please feel free to email Novice Ink.'s programmer, Hairum at hairumq@noviceinkwritersclub.com. But please note, that once your account gets deleted, it cannot be recovered and this is usually a last resort measure to members who do not respect our guidelines and ruling. This is not something that will happen to you out of the blue unless there's a legitimate reason. If this were to occur by accident, Novice Ink. will message you regarding what happened and provide you your data.
Nope! Whether you have a passion for writing, tend to write a lot or a little, you do not need much exprience :).
